About Us

Kelly Diane-Ross Winans has over 20 years of experience.

Her Career in Dance began in church 20 years ago, where she learned the basics and fell in love with Dance. She furthered her knowledge through her studies at Wayne State University where she studied Modern, African, and Jazz Dance. Kelly has choreographed numerous dance pieces and has worked with Grammy award winning artists and numerous dance groups.

Her passion for dance led her to open Made Free Dance Academy, where she found a new love in teaching children. She believes in empowering our youth to be confident and to feel free in self expression. She thrives on her students not only learning the basics but learning to choreograph as well. 

She believes that to succeed in dance it takes time, practice, and hard work. At MFDA, you will experience the love Kelly has for dance and will find an outlet to be yourself and love dance in your own way.
